Ad:Venture events set to boost Selby District business growth
Businesses across Selby, Tadcaster and Sherburn In Elmet are being encouraged to access expert help and events through a dedicated business advisor to help them break down barriers to growing their business.
Craig Atkin is part of the Ad:Venture business growth programme, aimed at supporting start-ups and growing young business across the Leeds City Region.
Craig said: “It can be difficult for new and growing businesses to understand the complex landscape of business support and to know where to go. I’m here to help businesses navigate this landscape, saving them time and resources and setting them on the path to success.”
As part of this exciting business offer, Craig and Ad:Venture will be delivering two free events in Selby. The first is a Planning for Growth event on 24th January and then on 13th February businesses can learn about financing their business, and the options and funding available.
Both events will be held at the Selby District Council offices on Doncaster Road. Businesses can book via the website at www.ad-venture.org.uk/events or via Eventbrite.

Businesses can access a range of support, including mentoring, academic support, workshops and masterclasses and access to finance options such as Business Enterprise Fund loans and the Ad:Venture grants programme, which can support eligible businesses with match funded grants up t £25,000,
Ad:Venture was launched in 2017 and offers a comprehensive mix of tailored business support to boost growth and develop eligible businesses in their first three years of trading. Funded by the European Regional Development Fund to the tune of £6,161,084, the project is being match-funded by regional partners including Selby District Council.
