AWB Charlesworth Solicitors raise £275 from their recent bake off in aid of Martin House Hospice.
For the fifth year running, the staff of AWB Charlesworth Solicitors have created some incredible cakes for sale in aid of Martin House Hospice.
Inspired by the TV series the Great British Bake Off, the staff of the firm produced 21 show-stopping cakes across their offices and John Haigh and Emily Lynn of Martin House Hospice acted as judges.
The overall winner of the 2017 Bake-Of was Jenny Barron, Private Client Solicitor, with her mango and lime cake and all the submitted cakes were then bought and enjoyed by staff, clients and contacts over the following days.
The event was held to raise funds for the Firm’s chosen charity Martin House Hospice – a Charity which cares for children and young people with progressive life-limiting illnesses across the Yorkshire region.
Declan Hayes, Director at the AWB Charlesworth said “Everybody at AWB Charlesworth certainly entered into the fun spirit of the Bake Off and produced some wonderful cakes and more importantly a great donation for Martin House”.
Head of Fundraising for Martin House Hospice, John Haigh, said “What a delight for Martin House to once again be involved in the bake-off at AWB Charlesworth. All three offices produced bakes of outstanding quality, but Jenny’s Mango & Lime was just – well – yummy! A massive thank you from all the children and families at Martin House, to all at AWB Charlesworth, for their long term support.”
