Bradford College Employer Forum to take place
An employers’ forum is being hosted by Bradford College Apprenticeship and Traineeships for employers from the construction, electrical, engineering and motor vehicle industries.
Employers whose apprentices and trainees study with Bradford College are invited to the event to participate in discussions and offer feedback on how the college can provide the best service possible, how they can best ensure learners leave training ‘industry-ready’ and how they can support employers in up-skilling staff.
The forum will take place at the Bradford College Apprenticeship and Traineeships offices in Chapel Street in Bradford’s Little Germany on Friday February 23 between 12.30 and 2.30pm.
Guests will also hear from two speakers – one an employer of apprentices and the other, an apprentice.
Martin Booth, Managing Director of Witt UK Group will draw on decades of experience in the engineering sector for his 10-minute talk will cover his experiences of employing apprentices and how best to integrate them into an organisation to drive growth.
Also speaking will be apprentice plumber Lisa Thomas who in December won the Bradford College Group Apprenticeship of the Year award.
Kelly McAllister, Head Of Business Development at Bradford College Apprenticeship and Traineeships, said: “The employer’s forum will be a great opportunity for our construction, engineering and motor vehicle employers to tell us what they need from us as their apprenticeship and commercial training provider.
“Employers will be able to share their views on what they’re looking for from apprentices or full-time students entering industry, allowing them to shape the curriculum and added value. The general theme is help us help you!”
Complimentary lunch and refreshments will be served during the forum. Free car parking is available.
