It’s time to explore the North and Scotland this spring with discounted travel for those aged 55 or over
TransPennine Express (TPE) has launched its popular Club 55 promotion for 2019, which allows those aged 55 or over to take advantage of some amazing value fares which can be booked up until 23.59 the day before travel.
Return fares to destinations across the North of England cost £22.00 for standard class travel and £32.00 for first class travel, while travel to and from Scotland costs £32.00 return in standard class and £62.00 return in first class.
The offer can be used on standard or first-class travel and an additional saving of 20% is also available for those with a Senior, Disabled or Two Together Railcard (providing they are aged 55 or over).
The Club 55 offer is only available for journeys made on TPE services and will be running until 4 June 2019.
Caroline Anchor, Head of Marketing for TPE commented: “We’re pleased to bring back one of our most popular offers. This promotion allows people to book day trips, weekends away and short breaks this spring.
“As a company we’re proud to connect the North and Scotland, especially as there is so much to see and do across our region. From seaside trips to Scarborough and Cleethorpes, exploring historic cities such as Edinburgh and York and shopping trips to Leeds and Manchester.”
Customers can book their tickets at tpexpress.co.uk/club55 up until 23.59 the day before, through the TPExpress app with the code CLUB55 or in advance at the station. Return journeys can be made within one calendar month of the outward journey.
Terms and conditions apply and can be found online at tpexpress.co.uk/club55. Proof of age must be carried and the promotion applies to both First and Standard class tickets and is valid for travel on any TPE service timed to depart at or after 09:30 Monday to Friday and at any time on weekends and bank holidays.
