Launch party of new boutique employment law practice in Yorkshire
Last Thursday saw the official launch of Torque Law, a new specialist employment law firm in Yorkshire founded by Tiggy Clifford and Emma Whiting.
Located on the outskirts of York, Torque Law was formed by Tiggy and Emma in direct response to the growing demand from Yorkshire SMEs and OMBs for high-quality, tailored employment law advice and training without the big firm price tags.
Tiggy said: “Having been friends and housemates at the University of Leeds, we decided that the timing was right to combine our 30-plus years of experience of helping business owners to untangle employment issues. We pride ourselves on putting ourselves firmly in our clients’ shoes and giving the advice which is best for them.”
Emma explained that Pairings Wine Bar in York was chosen as a natural fit for Torque Law’s formal launch party. “It was great that we were able to treat our guests to an evening with a difference, sampling expertly paired wine and Yorkshire beer with locally sourced produce.”
The successful event was attended by over 60 clients and contacts and marked Torque Law’s 6th month of trading in which time it has secured mandates from the likes of Sirius Minerals plc, Beverley Building Society, York College and Washington Inventory Services Limited.
