Local law firm to hold mock tribunal event
You’ve got an employment tribunal coming up – do you know what to expect?
The case is a familiar one:
An employee has been dismissed. She claims it was because she was pregnant. Her ex-employer says it was because of her performance.
Take a seat in the audience as we create a mock tribunal, one you can watch, rather than dread.
Schofield Sweeney’s Employment team will be demystifying the dreaded employment tribunal, giving the audience the chance to cross-examine witnesses and vote on whether an employee has been unfairly dismissed and/or discriminated against following her return to work from maternity leave.
The mock tribunal aims not only to show you how a tribunal hearing works in practice, but will show how the procedures employers follow will impact on the final decision. It will also give you the opportunity to pick up some tips about how to increase your chances of successfully defending claims.
Described as ‘always impressive’ and ‘extremely knowledgeable’, Schofield Sweeney’s large Employment team handles a variety of cases from day to day employment queries to more substantive tribunals and high court situations.
