Thorite welcomes its tenth apprentice
For many young people who are doubtless capable of obtaining the necessary A Levels, university isn’t the best option. For certain young people, an apprenticeship with a company that can provide support and encouragement during the period of training and then provide an interesting career once the apprenticeship has been completed is an extremely attractive proposition.
At Thorite, nine apprentices have started and completed their training over the past twelve years and most of them are still working for the company. We are delighted to be able to announce that Matthew Taylor has become the tenth.
Matthew joined Thorite as an apprentice Service Engineer in September, having just completed his GCSE’s. “I have had an interest in everything to do with engineering for quite some while and when the time came to decide what I wanted to do as a career, engineering was an easy decision.”
Matthew will be based at the Bradford Sales & Service Centre and will be attending day release courses for the duration of his apprenticeship. When not at college he will be attached to a qualified Service Engineer.
