Bradford chosen to help unlock potential of England’s young people
Bradford is one of 12 opportunity areas in England chosen by the government to help unlock the potential of England’s young people. Each OA is government funded but led locally.
With our partners in local government, employers, the voluntary sector, researchers, schools, nurseries and colleges, we have developed an ambitious plan, backed by over £10m of new funding, to overcome the challenges facing children and young people and those who support them.
One of the key priorities within the programme is to strengthen governance within schools across the district.
A conference has been planned to bring together employers who are interested in their employees becoming involved school governors and existing governors to discuss
This is a unique FREE opportunity to hear how employers and their staff can play an essential role in shaping the futures of young people and how new and existing skills can benefit both companies and schools.
Speakers from a range of organisations will present different perspectives on governance which will be of interest to schools, employers and prospective governors.
