Bradford venue to showcase local food & musical talent

Sunbridgewells underground complex will be staging a special Bank Holiday weekend event that will promote some of the best local food ventures & upcoming local musical talent.

From 26th to 28th August, the subterranean hub will be home to various local buskers daily & will open its available cabins and shops for free to local food businesses.

A spokesperson from Sunbridgewells said: “This is a fabulous, one off opportunity for local businesses looking for exposure to a potentially new market. We have had great success with pop up shops and cabins for our previous events, including our ‘Princess Anne opening celebrations’ and our current ‘Summer at Sunbridge’ kids events, and we are looking to take this a step further. We have already had a good response and are now looking to fill the last remaining spaces.”

Frank Jay from ‘The Chilli Shop’ who attended the Princess Anne event and will be attending the Bank Holiday showcase said: “As a unique, independent shop we felt very proud to be chosen to appear at the official launch and we are very excited at being part of the upcoming ‘Food and Music Festival’’. We brought the Chill Shop to Yorkshire to support high quality and diverse products in the county. This is a must visit event to all foodies. Prepare to be inspired visually and through taste!”

The weekend event will compliment offerings from the current residents, which will include a special guest appearance from DJ legend ‘Allistair Whitehead’ at ‘Alibi’ on Friday 25th August, and live music there from R&B singer, ‘Shantelle King’ on Monday 28th. Further live music will take place in ‘Wallers Bar’ on Monday 28th from ‘Live Lounge’ & DJ ‘Trafford Parsons’ with the best of disco and funk on the Friday and Saturday nights.
