Calling budding construction and engineering apprentices and trainees

Bradford College is set to host an open day for anyone interested in starting an apprenticeship or traineeship in the construction and engineering industry.

The event will take place on Tuesday July 30, between 10am and 12pm, at the college’s Trinity Green campus on Easby Road in Bradford and is aimed at anyone who is keen to ‘earn while they learn’ -studying at college alongside working in a real job – in the construction and engineering sector.

Employers who are looking to hire apprentices and trainees now will be present showcasing their vacancies and even holding interviews on the day.

Businesses attending on the day include Charlestown Ltd, GlideField Limited Solutions, Iron Octopus,  JDR Cooling & Energy Ltd, Mailway Packaging Solutions and Stocksfield Group.

Tutors from Bradford College and staff from its apprenticeship division, City Training Services, will also be on hand to explain how apprenticeships and traineeships work, what roles are available and how to find opportunities.

Parents and guardians of potential students are welcome to attend too.

Apprentices get paid in a real job while gaining real work experience and real qualifications.
