Clarion lawyer achieves STEP Advanced Certificate
Associate Sarah Berry is the latest lawyer in Clarion’s private client team to achieve a highly respected qualification from the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). Sarah has passed the STEP Advanced Certificate in Advising Vulnerable Clients.
Specialising in the drafting of wills and lasting powers of attorney, together with the administration of estates and Court of Protection matters, Sarah regularly advises older and vulnerable clients with issues of mental and physical incapacity. To gain this latest qualification, she undertook distance learning and workshops covering topics such as capacity legislation, powers of attorney, drafting Court of Protection applications and identifying care home contract problems.
“As a team, we pride ourselves on our commitment to continuing to learn in order to ensure we are as well qualified as possible to advise our clients,” said Vivienne Wild, partner and head of Clarion’s private client practice.
“Working to promote education and high professional standards, STEP is renowned as a leading global association for practitioners specialising in family inheritance and succession planning. We are proud that four members of our private client team have obtained STEP qualifications.”
“Congratulations to Sarah on her achievement which is a demonstration of her expertise in this specialist field of law.”
