College award for housing group’s apprenticeship scheme
Incommunities has scooped a ‘best employer’ award from a North Yorkshire college for their commitment to investing in apprenticeships.
The award was announced at Askham Bryan College’s apprenticeship awards where a number of the housing group’s horticulture and land trainees are studying NVQ level training.
Incommunities currently trains 40 apprentice in a range of construction and estate skills.
Tony Thompson, Incommunities’ Construction Skills Training Manager said: “We are delighted to win this award.
“Investing in high quality apprenticeships lies at the very heart of the organisation’s training and development work and this recognition from our learning partners is a welcome boost for our programme.
“It is very rewarding to see our students grow and build their skills through the college-based learning at Askham Bryan.”
Adam Williams, a Work Based Course Manager, said: “Incommunities is clearly committed to the effective progression of their apprentices and the productive training that benefits their growth and that of the individual.
“This award reflects the value they place on good quality training and the confidence and belief they have in their apprentices.”
