Thorite appoints a new Key Account Manager for Bristol
John Veal has joined Thorite as the Key Account Manager for the Bristol Sales & Service centre and is responsible for the West Country and South Wales.
With an almost fanatical interest, from an early age, in technology and everything automotive, it was a given that John would leave school and become a car mechanic. Not long after completing his apprenticeship, he started looking for a new challenge. John was offered a sales position with the UK division of one of the Europe’s largest automotive parts suppliers – selling new parts for others to fit rather than fitting those parts himself.
Joining another automotive company, John was promoted to manager where he was responsible for, among other areas, that company’s Royal Warrant.
On joining Thorite, John said: “I am having a great time. I am opening new accounts and working with a team of people who are really enthusiastic about what they are doing. Also, with my previous automotive career, I used pneumatic tools daily so, I am fully conversant with that side of Thorite’s business”
With four children with interests of their own, John doesn’t have a great deal of time to himself. However, he takes every opportunity to watch Formula 1 and touring car racing and plays the occasional round of golf.
