Watson Buckle recruits enthusiastic college leaver as latest trainee

Innovative accountancy firm Watson Buckle, has announced the appointment of Will Scrimshaw as its latest trainee.


Will joins the practice at a time of expansion within the accounts team and as part of the firm’s ongoing support of young people wanting to train in the industry.


He joins the firm directly from Notre Dame College in Leeds where he completed A-Levels in Mathematics, Chemistry, and Business.


Will is beginning his studies for the AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualification with the firm later this month.  He will complete AAT alongside his day-to-day role supporting Watson Buckle’s wide range of clients.


Outside of his career Will is a keen rugby player and has gained Level 1 Coaching Certificate in Rugby League which has heightened his leadership and presentation skills.


Speaking about his appointment, Susan Sedgwick, Joint Managing Director at Watson Buckle said: “We are very excited about Will’s appointment.  Encouraging more young people into the profession is important to the future of our practice and Will appears to be an ideal candidate who is driven to succeed”.
