  • Yorkshire’s Apprentice of the Year 2019 shines at National Final.

    Natasha Palmer, a Digital Marketing apprentice with Minster FM has celebrated her
    achievements with fellow apprentices from around the country and this years National Apprenticeship Awards, held in London. Natasha won apprentice of the year in 2018 and has enjoyed how the hard work and efforts she has put into her apprenticeship have provided a fantastic opportunity to showcase apprenticeships in the local area and how they can support businesses.

    range of sectors that are engaged with apprenticeships and the success stories of those who have embraced apprenticeships. Natasha was declared the winner at the regional Yorkshire and Humber Apprenticeship Awards earlier this year in the category for Higher of Degree Apprentice of the year.

    Natasha has recently completed a two-year apprenticeship in Minster FM’s digital
    department supported by her training Provider, Babington. Natasha has developed
    significantly during this time and has learnt HTML as well as being responsible for sending out company emails to over 10,000 subscribers.

    She’s now the go to person at the radio station for their digital vouchers being sold on behalf of their clients. She has become a confident marketer who has built effective relationships across the radio station group and regularly discusses the latest digital marketing updates to the platforms being used, allowing her to find the best way to share video content, particularly at station events.

    On the night Natasha missed out on the top accolade with the National winner of the Higher or Degree Apprentice of the year being awarded to Louise Meredith from JCB. Natasha said “It has been incredible to be alongside the nation’s greatest apprentices.

    I’m proud to present Yorkshire as an example of what you can achieve through an apprenticeship.” Rebecca Craven, Natasha’s trainer said “With over 1,100 applications this year and 143 regional finalists, for Natasha to be a regional winner is just fantastic” She added “There were many representatives from the Young Apprentice Ambassador Network” and it is great to see the platform these awards have been for them in the past and the opportunities they have gained from this. We’ll support Natasha as she considers joining the Yorkshire Network.

    Babington’s Executive Director of Customer Engagement, Jennifer Bramley, said “the
    National Apprenticeship Awards celebrate the outstanding work of apprentices and their employers and we could not be prouder of the achievement and recognition Natasha has received.” Babington is an Ofsted rated good provider operating from 11 centres throughout England providing Apprenticeships, Traineeships, Adult Education and Commercial Training for businesses.
